The Story Behind Auralika

Auralika was born from a simple yet powerful dream — a dream to create something meaningful while staying close to the people who matter the most.

The heart behind Auralika is Rekha Nair, a devoted mother, daughter and working professional who believed that life should never force a woman to choose between career, family and her dreams. While working in the corporate world, Rekha faced long working hours, exhausting night shifts and long commutes that made work–life balance extremely difficult. As a single parent, she knew that her daughter needed her time, guidance and presence, while her elderly parents needed her support and care.

Amidst the pressures of a demanding job, Rekha felt a strong desire to build something of her own — something that allowed her to create, inspire and connect with people.

The inspiration came from a beautiful everyday moment. During her breaks at home, Rekha often watched her daughter joyfully styling and experimenting with jewelry from her personal collection. That spark of happiness planted a powerful idea — what if jewelry could bring the same joy and confidence to many other women too?

And that’s how the vision for Auralika began.

Rekha didn’t immediately quit her corporate career. Instead, she chose the courageous path of building her dream alongside her responsibilities. 

The journey was exhausting — but her passion, grit and perseverance kept her going.

With no prior business experience, only determination and a heartfelt purpose, Rekha launched Auralika, a South Indian jewelry brand dedicated to curating beautiful jewelry that helps women feel confident, radiant and connected to their cultural roots.
